Privacy policy
Who holds the pages
The guide at ragdollrobot.org is published by the editor you can reach at [email protected]. This policy covers that site. It does not cover Roblox, YouTube, or Discord once you leave for them.
What loads when you arrive
These pages load their partners by default, before you click anything: Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) measures page views and traffic sources; Microsoft Clarity (project z9sp4e8dv4) records heatmaps and session replays; and Adsterra serves a Native Banner inside the article and a Social Bar fixed to the bottom of the viewport. The YouTube player is created only when you press a Play video button, and it uses youtube-nocookie.com until playback starts.
The first-visit banner explains the default loading and offers Accept and Reject. Until you explicitly choose, Google's three ad consent signals are denied and analytics storage is granted. Reject records the choice, withdraws Clarity consent, denies Google's ad and analytics storage, and reloads this page to stop running partner code. Later page views skip the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra loaders. Global Privacy Control also disables these loaders. Your explicit choice is remembered for 180 days; Cookie settings in the footer lets you change it.
Cookies and local storage, with retention
This site's own storage: rrb_consent in localStorage holds {choice, ads, analytics, ts, days} for 180 days, and rrb_socialbar_closed holds the value 1 after you close the Social Bar, until you clear it. Storing these two keys is strictly necessary to honour your choice; the site does not read them to build a profile.
Google Analytics 4 uses _ga and _ga_<container> identifiers and receives page-view and traffic-source events. Its loader is requested from www.googletagmanager.com, with measurement requests to www.google-analytics.com or regional Google Analytics hosts. Google's current privacy policy describes its retention and processing. This site has not independently audited the property's server-side retention setting. Google's opt-out add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Microsoft Clarity (project z9sp4e8dv4) receives interaction and session data for heatmaps and recordings. Its requests use www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and regional *.clarity.ms collection hosts. Depending on storage permission it can use _clck, _clsk, MUID, ANONCHK and SM. Microsoft documents storage and retention in its linked privacy and Clarity documentation. Reject withdraws storage permission and stops this site's Clarity loader.
Adsterra requests its two invoker scripts from bicea.org by default. Adsterra and creative demand partners may use their own frames, request hosts, cookies or localStorage for delivery and frequency control; the selected creative determines those additional origins. Reject stops this site's ad loaders. Third-party storage already written remains subject to your browser controls and the partner policies linked below.
YouTube loads only after you press Play, using youtube-nocookie.com; player resources can also use youtube.com, ytimg.com and googlevideo.com. Playback sends the video request, network details and player interactions to Google/YouTube, whose linked privacy policy describes its storage and processing.
Advertising and personalised ads
Adsterra is the only ad network on this site. Its adult-advertising switch is off, so the units are not filled with adult creatives. The publisher id declared in /ads.txt is 3403020. Adsterra may personalise creatives using the consent signals it receives; where it does, you can opt out through aboutads.info choices, Your Online Choices, or Google ad settings for Google-served demand. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less personalised.
No other ad network, popunder, banner or smartlink is installed. There is no traffic-mesh or other banner SDK on these pages.
Your rights and changes
Where GDPR or a similar law applies, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal data, and you can withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings without affecting processing that already happened. Write to [email protected]; I answer requests about this site and pass on requests that belong to Google, Microsoft, or Adsterra, whose own privacy pages are linked above.
Closing the site and clearing this origin's storage removes rrb_consent and rrb_socialbar_closed from your machine. This page's date is the change log: if a partner or a key changes, this page changes in the same release before the new script ships.
FAQ
Do you set cookies?
This site writes one localStorage key of its own, rrb_consent, for 180 days (and rrb_socialbar_closed if you close the Adsterra bar). Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies after the page loads. Adsterra sets cookies in its own ad frames, which this site cannot read.
Are ads loaded before I click Accept?
Yes. Adsterra (Native Banner and Social Bar), Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load by default on the first view. Reject turns them off and is remembered for 180 days; Global Privacy Control also turns them off. YouTube loads only when you press Play video.
How do I change my choice?
Use Cookie settings in the footer: Accept loads the partners again, Reject turns them off. Clearing this site's storage also removes the remembered choice, so the next visit starts from the default-on state.
